Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of Georgian Dream Ruling Party, took part in the Elections accompanied by his wife.
After Bidzina Ivanishvili made his choice this morning, he answered the questions of journalists.
“Today we voted for the European choice of the country,” he said. “I think with today’s choice that will be made by the majority of Georgia we will finally say no to lies and violence, to lack of culture, and we will find our right way to Europe and to the culture. It will be the respect of our big history and finally we will join our big family which is the developed Europe.”
About the issue related to the 2nd round elections Ivanishvili added, “Chances for the 2nd tour is very low but they exist. If there’s the 2nd tour, there’s no question about it who wins there.”
On the 28th of October Georgia is electing a President, last time with the direct voting of citizens. Twenty-five candidates of president are proposed. The leading candidates include Salome Zurabishvili, Grigol Vashadze, David Bakradze, Zurab Japaridze and David Usupashvili. Independent candidate Salome Zurabishvili is supported by Georgian Dream Ruling Party.
