The data suggests that worldwide 75.000.000 people have autism spectrum disorder. And the numbers of people with autism are growing year by year.
It is estimated that one in 68 children is diagnosed with ASD. It is a fact that ASD, in general, is five times more prevalent in boys than in girls.
As for the situation in Armenia, 1000 people in total have autism, 564 of them are children. The numbers here are also increasing in comparison to 2011 when 454 children had ASD. These are the cases when the person was diagnosed in a public health clinic.
