101 MILLION NON WORKERS IN AMERICA
91 million working-age Americans have not any job but they are not looking for it. Unemployment rate seems to be first measurement of workplace market but the thing is that this number which is about 10 million only refers to people who are looking for some work during last month.
91 million which is about 37 percent of population includes people who are not searching for any job. This is highest number from 1970s. This rate includes people who gave up their searches, also college and high school students, caregivers of children and the elderly. Now only 48 percent of adult Americans have full-time activity. There are 247 million Americans and 101 million (10 million unemployed and 91 million people who are not looking for a job) have not any working status.
