The Parliament of Greece Failed to Vote President in the 1st Round

The Parliament of Greece failed to vote president in the first round. Victory required at least 200 votes from 295. 

Government of Greece offered  Stavros Dinas's candidacy. He was former European Commissioner. Only 160 member of parliaments got their vote to Stavros Dimas. 

The second and third rounds will take place on December 23 and December 29. In the second round the candidate must get 200 votes, 180 for the third. 

If the president is still not elected after the third round the Parliament will dissolve and new election will take place in Greece.
